Everything you wrote so true. I remember the guilt when we took our son to an even happening in the same city where our son sat in a NICU but yet you have to try to bring some normalcy into your life . and those stupid comments that are said meant to be well meaning...Thank you for sharing. Nicki

Thank you. My son was born at 27 weeks on April 7th. This is week three for us. Some days I cope better than others. Your words connect with me so much. I went to the NICU luncheon and met great families and it felt good great to connect with people who understood this journey but I also couldn’t help but feel jealous of those getting ready to leave. I feel like I’m on a crazy emotional roller coaster all the time and I just want to go home and have my normal life back. It’s so hard. Thank you for your post- I’m glad I’m not the only one.
