It's been so so long since I've posted! About two years actually! So let me catch y'all up on my life. Back in December, I graduated from nursing school (hooray!!) For the past 8 months I've been working on a surgical cardiac unit taking care of patients after they have had open heart surgeries and thoracic (lung) surgeries. At the beginning of October, I will be starting a new job that I'm super excited about! I'll be working in a level II NICU in downtown Cincinnati. Not only do we take care of the little babes but we also attend all deliveries. I'm super excited about this chapter in my life and I can't wait to see where it'll take me. I remember sharing at Share Union in 2015 about how I wanted to be a NICU nurse because of how those nurses helped me so much when I went through my loss. So naturally, I wanted to share the news with all of you. Even though I haven't been as active on here as I would like, I still want to thank all my friends from here who have supported me and continue to support me. I couldn't have done it without y'all!
P.s. Look how adorable my new badge reel is!
Congratulations on your new job. =) Nicki

This is so exciting! I'm thrilled that all your hard work paid off.
Congratulations! You are truly a hero. I'm sure the NICU families you care for will never forget you. Thank you for the tremendous work you're doing to help so many babies like mine.
Congrats on graduating, the job, and new position! I love the new badge and hope this new position also provides some more healing:) They are SO lucky to have you!
