This was our ninth year walking in the March for Babies. I heard that several walks were canceled this year due to the weather. I know how important and meaningful the March for Babies is and my heart was with everyone who couldn't walk this year. I hope the walks are able to be rescheduled.
As we drove into the parking lot for our walk, the sun's rays were streaming through the clouds. This is my sign from my angel that she was with us at the walk. It was the sign I needed to let myself feel the emotions of the day and to feel that closeness to my Randi. I loved the memory garden this year, with the flowers and butterflies. It's my favorite ones so far.
We got to see some of Hunter's nurses and doctors, who were excited to see him and how much he's grown from that tiny little baby that they cared for with such love and attention.
Hunter is such a remarkable boy and watching him run along the boardwalk with Reid and his cousins was just amazing. It really made me reflect on how far he has come. Even though he is still facing some challenges, he is really just amazing. He is kind, loving and curious. He just passed the test for his purple belt in karate. We are still on the long road of this journey of prematurity, but I am so grateful to be where we are now.
Marissa, I'm so glad that you all had such a nice March for Babies walk day:) Really neat that you got to see Hunter's former doctors and nurses too! I know, it seems like it was just yesterday. Congrats to Hunter on his new karate belt! I love your family pic and your shirts with all of those beautiful butterflies:)
Hugs and love! I am so glad you had a good day!
So happy you had a great March for Babies! Love your family picture, how cute! That is also great that you were all able to be reunited with some of Hunter's nurses and doctors, how special that must be for them all to see how great he is doing!
So glad you had a good day! We need those for sure! Happy to hear he is doing well.
I am so happy you had a great walk. Nicki
We help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. And if something goes wrong, we offer information and comfort to families. We research the problems that threaten our babies and work on preventing them.
