Hi everyone! This is my first time to ever join a website and want to introduce myself. My name is Katie and I'm the momma of a sweet 2 year old boy (full term) and a little 1 month old girl (33 weeker). We've only been home for 2 weeks because little Karter spent 2 weeks in the NICU. It's crazy to think that her due date isn't until the end of this month. She came early via emergency c section due to placental abruption. She's doing amazing even though she was small for her gestational age, only 3 lbs 9 oz. I've found that I'm the one struggling more than she is. I think I have PTSD from my experience and I obsess over it. I tend to have flashbacks and am afraid this will happen again. It is a miracle that Karter is here with me today. Anyone else have a placental abruption?

We help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. And if something goes wrong, we offer information and comfort to families. We research the problems that threaten our babies and work on preventing them.
