There are several things notable about this picture. It was taken at 23 weeks while we were on vacation in St Augustine, Florida. We are at the top of a lighthouse and we thought it was hilarious that Rick was nervous about the height so he made me (and my bump) stand closest to the railing. Also, I was already suffering the first symptoms of preeclampsia and I honestly thought that climbing all the way to the top of that lighthouse might have caused Riley's prematurity. When I came out of the doorway, a woman asked me if I was pregnant. I was so excited because she was the first stranger to ask. She looked at me sternly and said, "Do you really think it was a good idea to climb all of those stairs?" Riley was born two weeks later.
