Prematurity Awareness Month

Our family would like to be part of World Prematurity Day on November 17. We have been on both side of the coin, we lost our first born baby boy at 26 week, he was with us for about six weeks when he went back to be with the Lord. Then Jasmine was born at 26 weeks, she weighed 1 ½ pound, all I could think then was that I can lose her as well but then I remember her first cry when I delivered she fought her hardest to get where she is now, beating all the odds. Now, she 20 years old attending UCLA and studying abroad. living her dreams.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It is amazing to hear stories from parents of preemies who now have adult children. It really gives so much hope to those who are only a few days, weeks, months, or years out of the NICU.
  • I'm so sorry about the loss of your son, then to go on to have another 26 weeker, must have been horrible. It sounds like Jasmine is amazing, though! Thank you for sharing your story.
