The NICU can be an overwhelming place at first. You may see babies connected to tubes and wires. You may hear machines beeping and alarms going off. You may see lots of medical equipment that you have never seen before. The information provided here explains what goes on in the NICU to help you feel understand your baby’s care.
You may hear a lot of words you don’t know while your baby’s in the NICU. Ask the nurse or doctor to spell these words so you can look them up. Think of this information as your NICU dictionary.
