Whatever path brought you to this website, we’re glad you’re here, and we want you know:
You are not alone.
Share Your Story is community of people who know what it means to face heartbreak and fear at a time when most people hope to experience only bliss. Maybe you’re pregnant, and just learned that there’s a complication with your pregnancy. Maybe your baby is in the NICU right this minute, or maybe you’re caring for a preemie at home. Maybe you’re learning how to take care of a child with a birth defect.
Maybe the unthinkable has happened, and you’re mourning the loss of your little one.
Maybe it feels like the grief will never stop.
Share is an incredible resource fueled by caring, helpful individuals who have been where you are now. We understand, at a deeper level than most, what it feels like to stay up nights on end for fear that your child may stop breathing; to worry, as a pregnant woman or her partner, about unexpected test results that may point to a problem; to deal with health professionals who aren’t experts in treating children who have spent time in the NICU; and so much more. We even understand what it feels like to mourn your baby.
We understand, because we’ve been there ourselves.
In this community, we listen. We grieve. We support. We celebrate breakthroughs, and some days, we just vent. We share what's going on in our lives without fear of being judged or handed volumes of advice.
Most of us have family and close friends. So why do we need a support community? Because our loved ones can't always understand what we’re going through. We may never meet the people on Share beyond this website, but they know what we’re feeling. And their support provides a special kind of healing.
Healing. Understanding. Support. If this is what you’re looking for, then you’re in the right place.
We help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. And if something goes wrong, we offer information and comfort to families. We research the problems that threaten our babies and work on preventing them.
