Hello, I’m the dad of Leo,
He was born December 12,2019. He was born at 25 weeks & 5 days. Very tiny. The first few days were smooth, as he was able to breathe and move around a lot just like any other baby. After a few days things started going bad. They discovered a grade 4 brain bleed on his right side. Then his oxygen levels have been up and down. But get bad when they have to use the cpr machine on him because he stops breathing. Me and my wife witnessed the first episode and we were scared we both hugged each other and cried as we watched him turn blue quickly and watched the nurses do what they had to do to get him back on track. He’s now had about 6 of those episodes. We are worried something is not right with him. I know he is a preemie and his lungs still need time to mature but doctors say to take it day by day which honestly feels like FOREVER. They also found an infection in his urine which they believe is causing those episodes because the lungs aren’t getting so much oxygen they need. I just want to skip passed all this and have him home but we know the doctors and nurses are doing what they can to make that happened. Any replies will truly help. We are 24 years old and first time parents to our baby boy.
