Share Your Story

I got a call earlier this week for a job interview in CA. My husband and I finally got all of our paperwork together this past March and were able to apply for CA certification. We've applied to several school districts and of course, San Diego is at the top of our list. We're both from there and it would be a dream to be able to return one day. I'll be driving out in the very early morning hours tomorrow and then taking an evening flight home. This is such a long shot. I haven't been on an interview in almost 8 years now. I haven't needed to. I can't believe that I'm actually doing this. I wouldn't be if my life had happened otherwise. The school is only interviewing for this position tomorrow and I took the last time slot. They weren't aware that I was out-of-state so I don't know if they've called my references and all of that. I am thinking that a decision could be made rather soon which is really helpful. Even if I don't get it, I'll gain some experience and learn more for the next one. AZ and CA are very different in their FL standards. I think AZ is ranked 49th in education?! Yeah, not good. Wish me luck Share friends. This could be the break that I need:)
