Yesterday, we had our March for Babies Walk. Kind of on edge as the reports were saying rain, but thankfully, it was great weather. Windy, but really nice. It was a great turnout. The kids walked the whole way. We didn't bring the red wagon this time and Mr. T only asked to be held when there were strong winds. So proud of them for sticking it out. I don't ever remember walking that much when I was their age. I had to hold back a few tears right at the beginning when we were asked to yell "March for Babies." I usually lose it the final stretch of the walk, but I didn't this year (!). No tears. We reached the Family Teams tent. The kids found the crayons and activity pages right away. Hubby disappeared and did another interview in Spanish for the local newspaper La Voz. I added a butterfly to Naethyn's flower in the memory garden while I watched people thumb through the preemie/angel memory book. Two young women stopped at my kids' pages and just stared. Yeah, Naethyn would take anyone's breath away. He was all there, perfect, and so cute. I paused wondering if I should say anything and I did. I went over, introduced myself, and pointed to my two boys, now years older, so they could see. Yesterday was a good day. It's always healing being downtown for the walk. There is always so much anxiety, days leading up to the walk. I wake up NOT wanting to go because it's another reminder of who I'm missing. Our angels give us such strength to do the impossible:)
