As I look back at some pictures on my camera, I thought I'd share about the March of Dimes Walk in our town this past April. I had been wanting to participate since the birth of my first son in Nov. of 2005, but we were told not to take him out due to RSV. When the walk rolled around in 2007, I was too pregnant to do the walk and was too paranoid that I'd hurt myself somehow. I have no excuse for 2008 and well, losing my son in MARCH really gave me a huge reason to finally get out there. Sometime in the hospital I told my husband that's what I wanted to do. As soon as I mentioned it, he had the 411 on the whole event. I was so surprised that he knew about it. Then he says to me that he had just seen a commercial for it on tv while I was sleeping and not to give him any credit:) Well, I registered for it that first week at home. It felt so good. I was so happy that so many of my friends and colleagues donated to our page. It really meant the world to us. We had shirts made. We used a picture of Naethyn's feet. What a sweetheart he was. We got to the walk a bit late, but then I was a bit relieved. With little ones being in a huge crowd like that, I was a bit concerned. So, we did walk and we weren't the last ones. I think we'll get there earlier next year. My kids were eyeing the bouncy houses they had. So, I might walk by myself and let my husband monitor the kiddos. There was remembrance page that someone handed me. It was a piece of paper with blue clouds and it had my baby's name on it. Instant tears. I recently made some individual scrapbooking pages of each baby to be displayed next year. I will be devoted to MOD for the rest of my life.
