IT'S A MIRACLE

12/14/10 – IT’S A MIRACLE Well…it’s a miracle. I don’t know how else to say it than to just say it. I’m pregnant. Let me give myself this moment...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, thanks :) Anyway – so, I basically am still in a little bit of shock. After 11 months of trying, it finally happened. I kind of knew last week, but wanted to wait to test until Saturday. When I did the test on Saturday morning and saw the 2 lines form, I just melted to the bathroom floor and started crying and thanking God. Then I made it over to my bedroom and picked up Marco’s urn and pictures and told him how much I love him. It’s weird, because I almost had an immediate sense of guilt, like I hope Marco doesn’t feel like he is forgotten now that there is another one on the way. I know that Marco knows how much I love him, but it’s just so complex. I’m sure it’s even going to get more complex as the pregnancy progresses. I’m so happy about this pregnancy, but I’m also terrified. I’m trying to just ride it though. I know there are so many things that can go wrong…but I just have to remind myself that so many times things go right. I need to remind myself that good things can happen, and as my sister says, I need to try to believe in the power of nature. I decided to switch back to the previous OB I had last year for now. I went to her yesterday. Of course now that the doctor is involved, the rollercoaster has begun. I had my beta HCG drawn to see what the level is. They told me the result would be ready today. It wasn’t. Grrr. So, I have to wait until tomorrow. Waiting…I’m getting good at that. I will have a sono in 2 weeks to look at things, and then well go from there. I am so grateful for this chance to be a parent again. I know that each day that I have with this little being inside me is a blessing. Marco, thank you so much for picking out a little sibling for you. We will do everything possible to take care of this little one. I know your spirit is with us little angel.

  • If I could be jumping up and down for you I totally would!  Congratulations!!!  Crossing my fingers for a super sticky baby, what a wonderful Christmas present!  Grow baby grow!!  I did the same thing when I saw those two lines, I just broke down and started crying, my husband thought something was wrong.  Tons of hugs to you!

    I know that this pregnancy will be stressful and scary, but also full of wonderful things and joy.  You know we'll be here for you every step of the way.

    Marco does know you love him and he'll be the best guardian angel ever!

    Congratulations...what amazing news!  I'm so SO happy for you and your family.

    As Lauren said...this is a rollercoaster!  I know exactly what you're going through.  You hope and pray and try for a baby and then as soon as you see that you're pregnant you feed guilty!  Know that your feelings are totally normal.

    I hope to continue reading great updates for many months!  We're all here for you!

    That is so exciting and such a great Christmas present.  Don't worry I felt those exact feelings towards Baron when I found out I was pregnant again.

    I am so happy little Marco will have a sibling to watch over. My only advice is to find a doctor you are very comfortable with

    I had no intention of longing on today, but I just HAD to as soon as I read your news.  I am so excited for you!!!  Congratulations!

    Pregnancy after a loss is tough, complicated, and messy....even when everything goes right.  Know that those feelings are normal.  Try not to be too hard on yourself.

Those feelings are normal, I am sure Marco is so happy for you also, don´t feel guilty about your happiness, enjoy this moment, I know the mixture of emotions and hormones, but everything will be fine.
