AND here we meet again August, Not a year goes by that you don't sneak up on me out of the blue. Just when I think I have my feet planted firmly on the floor, you come and rip the rug right out from beneath me.
My sweet 34 weeker is just a week away from being 12. I'm not sure when it happened but my sweet boy is a preteen and heading to 7th grade. To say I am no ready for 7th grade is an understatement. He has grown quite a bit in the last year, on so many level. p.s. who ever said terrible two's as never had a middle schooler. We are officially at that age where I "know nothing" and he knows it all. And to all you that read this who teach middle schoolers there is a special place in heaven for you all! Jadon goes to a school that, lets just say is not my first choice by any means. We just found out that due to the performance of the school we have the option to move him to a better school. I am going to check it out tomorrow and find out if we want to make the move. The transportation is a concern as the school is a bit further. I however think it is whats best for him and I hope he falls in LOVE with the school tomorrow.
We decided to get a "family" puppy. Our Family puppy is not officially Jadon's pup since he is stuck to Jadon like Glue. I have never seen Jadon so happy. He is in love with his sweet Milo and I am learning to be a dog person. I love this little pup and never imagined I would be a dog momma. Jadon is super excited about his birthday and I have been picking up hours to pay for his big gift. I can't wait to see his face!
The anxiety of Trinity's double digit birthday is in full swing. I had our March Of Dime awards banquet and got to spend some time talking to the new chair for next year. I was able to share our story and why I am so passionate about what we do. Team Trinity walked with many awards and I love seeing her name on the plaques.
I know the next few weeks will be full of so many ups and down moments. We are just gonna roll with the punches and try to carry on through the coming days. We finally finished our school supply drive and are working on the Molly Bears Drive in honor of Trinity's 10th birthday! I can't wait to ship this box out to the bear makers and help fill the arms of other bereaved mommas!
We have also done a few pay it forward acts of kindness in the last few days in Trinity's memory!
I hope you all have had an amazing summer! been super hot and the heat and Jadon's asthma has been rough, gotta love Florida).
You and Trinity and Jadon are all in my heart this month. I always think of you guys as August approaches. I hope Jadon loves the new school and I am glad he is loving the new family pup. So cute! You are amazing in all that you do to help others in honor of Trinity. I am sure she is very proud of her momma.
Hugs to you. AUGUST is my Month. Each day that creeps closer to the 30th gets harder and harder. I know it will never go away but I hope it gets easier. Your backpack Fundraising is AMAZING. I want to do something similar in the future to fuel my anxiety and PTSD. You are so inspiring to me. Hoping to see you soon!
