In life there are those amazing moments, the moments that will take your breath away, those that will forever be etched in your memory. First time you fell in love, first kiss, proms, graduations, getting married, you get the point. some of these moments change the path you life takes. Having a baby is supposed to be one of those moments. For me with all three of my kids those moments have not been the amazing beautiful experiences that took my breath away in a good way. For me its always been scary, Holding my breath praying for a good outcome.
I Jadon was born 5 weeks early and completely blue and I held my breath praying he would be okay. Then two years later I stumbled onto SHARE shortly after the birth of my daughter Trinity Leigh. Trinity was born 15 weeks early and passed away shortly after he birth. Never breathing a single breath of air, although I loved every second I had with my baby girl it was not like one of those beautiful made for TV experiences. I found SHARE and began to share my baby girl with all of you, I shared my loss, my feelings, my broken heart. Two years later I had the chance to go to DC and be a part of Share Union. Not knowing when I boarded the plane that, that weekend would be one of the amazing moments In life that would forever be etched in my heart, soul, and memory. I never imagined it would change the path my life would take. For the first time I got to put a face to all those that had offered comfort, love, and support. I got to hug those who had helped me pull through those hard days. For the first time, since saying goodbye to my baby girl I was in a room full of people who just "got it". I left out of there feeling revived! I knew at that moment two things. One I never wanted to miss another Share Union. And two that I would choose to use my experience and my daughters short life to reach my hand and heart out to those who were traveling down this road!
Share Union 2013 is just around the corner and I am stoked about it. I cant wait to see my friends as well as hopefully meet some new people who I have come to love through their stories and blogs. If you are on the fence about coming, my promise to you is you wont regret it. You will walk away a new person. Another SHARE Angel mom asked me about it the other day and I tried my hardest to explain the impact that SHARE and Share Union has had on my life. However no words I could say could put it into perspective to someone who has not had the honor of attending one. Its one of those moment that simple take your breath away and will forever be etched into your heart!
Below is a few pics from a few of the Share Unions I have been to.
I love you and I hope that I am able to come this year...
I love these pictures and love that Share has done for you what it did for me. We are so incredibly lucky to have found this place, these people. Love you and can't wait to see you in just a couple of short months.
Oh my gosh!! Those pics are great! (especially the one of Laura dedicated to winning the game) I totally agree with you on the impact of SU. There's just something about having others understand without having to use words.
So beautifully worded Sam.
