New research found that  children exposed to long term use of acetaminophen during pregnancy had severe adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes at 3 years of age.  These outcomes are all associated with autism.   More research is needed, but many of us in the research community are also concerned with the use of acetaminophen in infants. Please be aware that the hospital may give acetaminophen to your son when he is circumcised.  Proceed with caution.
