It's March for Babies Time again. We would like to get to know everyone's MFB Team this year so we thought we would create a place for you to introduce your team, tell us why and where you walk as well as share your personal/team goals for the year.
Team Trinity for the Greater Halifax walk in Florida!! We are walking for our three preemies, two resides in our as home one in our heart, as well as all those listed on the back of our shirts! My Original goal was $1000 and I now have a personal goal of $3000 and team goal of $3500. Right now I am at $2663 and the team is at $2753!
I have no idea what is in store for our team or where we will end up but yesterday I sent out 71 thanks you cards with Team Trinity Wristbands, to 36 states many to strangers I have never met and my heart was overjoyed!
In reply to Jami H:
We are team Super-baby NJ in honor of our first born son who sadly passed 39 hours after birth at 28w1d due to me having pre-eclampsia (severe) and his little lungs just gave out on him. He came out ad a 25/26 weeker.
We are Team Vazquez - AZ. We might be looking to change that down the road. Well, this will be our 6th walk. We completed our first one back in 2009 just weeks after our son died. We walk for Donovyn (32-weeker), Tristyn (34-weeker), and for our angel Naethyn (30-weeker born sleeping). We hope to fundraise as much as we can and educate folks about MOD and it's mission.

We are Team Zacc!! We've been walking since 2012. First it was in memory of my son, Zacchaeus, but after examining my situation further I also walk for my 7 week miscarriage I had in 1998. My team consist of family and friends, most of them have either been effected by prematurity, birth defects or infant death. Our first year we were the #4 team in the Greater Kentuckiana Chapter. Last year we were 15th. This year we want to be in the top 5 again. Our team goal is $3000. Out of the $3000 my personal goal is $1000. Our walk in being held on May 10th at the Big 4 Lawn at the Waterfront in Louisville Ky.
My team is Prisoners of Hope. I chose that name because, at the time, we were still hoping though our battle with infertility that we would one day have a healthy full-term baby to bring home after losing our twins, Tristan and Gunnar. Even though this particular hope is gone, our team's mission is to help find a way for other parents to never suffer the loss that we did.
One very special team member is my niece, Arin, who is a healthy 26 weeker, now a freshman in college. My nephews Ben and Jakob are also very enthusiastic about our mission.
We walk in Ithaca, NY and this year is my first year as Family Teams Chair. I'm really excited to bring a memory mile and miracle mile to the walk. Another beautiful feature of our venue is a memorial garden for children who have died. It's a bulb labyrinth where I take a few extra minutes to remember my boys after the walk.
Last year, my goal was $1,000 but we raised $1,996, making us the number one family team, which I'm really proud of. I hope to make $2,000 this year, but we'll see.
Our team is NICUstrong . We have a facebook page/group set up to help give support to all kinds of NICU families. Most of us have preemie's so we want to support MOD as much as possible. We made the team so that families all over the country could participate under the team name. I myself have two preemies a 33 weeker who is now 8 and a 35 weeker who is 7 months old.
Wishing Team Popcorn, Team Bellow Garfin and Team Charlie Allene a very happy and eventful March for Babies season. We will be starting a new forum soon with tips and tricks for March for Babies.
Good Luck everyone!
Jami
Marissa- Yes Arianna's Army is on the MOD family teams page. It was awesome to see. :)
Our team is Team Bellow Garfin. Our team name is (very unoriginally :)) my last name and my sister's last name. We walk with my sister's family because we have all been affected by the MOD mission. We walk in honor of our preemies - my son Hunter (26 weeker) and my nephew Luke (33 weeker) and in memory of my angel daughter and Hunter's twin sister, Randi.
This will be our 6th walk and we are walking in the East Meadow, Long Island, NY walk on April 27th.
Our team page is at www.marchforbabies.org/team/bellowgarfin.
P.S. Jami - I saw team Arianna's Army on the family teams page!
We are Team Popcorn!
We came up with the name since that was scott's nickname given to him by his brother while I was pregnant. Everyone ended up using the name while pregnant. I am so excited about our team shirts this year that my SIL designed!!!
We are walking May 3 in Baltimore. I walk for two reasons. The first one being it's Scott's day to be celebrated that he was here even if it only was a short time. We also walk because we want to support the MOD mission of healthy babies and help other babies be able to live a healthy, happy life. What better way to honor are little angel?
Our team "Team Charlie Allene" will be walking on May 31st (two days after Charlie's second birthday) in Winchester.
Initially, I wanted to walk because MOD NICU Family Support was all I had to get me through our three months in the NICU. I couldn't have done it with out it. I wanted to show my gratitude by giving back.
Now, I walk to honor Charlie (26 weeker), angel babies, NICU babies, and their parents. I want to help make sure babies have a healthy start.
Our team goal is $1000.

Good luck everyone!
This year our March for Babies Team "Arianna's Army" will be walking on April 27th in Lafayette, IN.
We will be walking in memory of our sweet baby girl Arianna Elaine who was born at 23 weeks and lived for just 27 minutes. We will also be walking in honor of our 29 week preemie Lexi who is going to be 13, our 36 weeker Keira who's 4 who wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the advancements funded by the March of Dimes and also for our Full Term miracle Alexia who is 6 because every woman deserves and uneventful full term pregnancy.
Our Team goal is currently set at $500. I hope to raise this goal after we achieve it.
Best of Luck to all of the SYS March for Babies Team walking this year.
