Hello! My name is Bonnie! This will be my first time attending Share Union! In January of 2014 I was put on hospital bedrest pregnant with my second son, Lincoln. My pregnancy suddenly became high risk because I had extremely low amniotic fluid and Lincoln was severely IUGR. After about a month on hospital bedrest my OB decided to deliver at 34 weeks and 2 days. Lincoln weighed just 2 lbs 14 oz. We spent the next 3 1/2 weeks in the NICU. It was a crazy and scary time in my familie's life, so I am dedicated to giving back to other families. We celebrated Lincoln's 1st birthday by giving care packages to current NICU parents in our local hospital, which gained quite a lot of attention. From there we now have a NICU parent facebook page. We are also launching a parent-lead support group and a peer mentor program. I have met some incredible people through our journey, and I look forward to learning more and meeting more people!
