Just saying hi

Hello I am the mom of Destiny. My daughter came into this world a tiny little thing. She was 1lb 1.3oz at 29weeks 3 days. She spent over 4 months in NICU. She is now almost 10 months and doing great but still tiny. Barely 10 pounds.  Her older brother was 8lb 11 oz so definitely a different experience. She also has a sister in heaven that we miscarried at 12 weeks. Destiny is my little miracle. Would love to hear from other mom's and dads

I'm so sorry for your loss. But thank you for sharing your story. We found out at 18 weeks that something was wrong with Destiny. We did every test the Dr possibly could. She had iugr due to tying a knot in her cord. If I would not have chosen to stay at the hospital when they did the ultrasound at 29 weeks she would not be here. She had back flow and her heart rate dropped to 90 by the time they rushed me into sergury for c section.
  • Hello! My daughter Josie was born at 4lbs 4 oz with the chromosomal anomaly Trisomy 18. We found out by ultra sound and genetic screening. She lived for 9 days on Children's Hospice care. She would have been 10 years old this year. She has a sister who is 8 1/2 and weighed 7lbs 5oz at birth, full term. We walk every year in the march for babies to honor Josie and to hopefully change the outcome so that other moms and sisters do not have to deal with the loss that we have. Thanks for sharing your experience! I blog on the main site under Angel-Versary if you would like to read more of my story.
