I walked in March for Babies this past weekend. I hope you did. There are many more still scheduled around the country if you didn’t. Why did I fundraise and walk? Until every baby survives, at March for Babies we will remember those we lost, celebrate those who have survived the odds and thank all of our supporters for helping us continue in our mission to provide hope.
It’s incredible to join with thousands of families together to support healthy babies and give every baby a fighting change. The walk was fun and the celebration after was awesome. And I took time to look at the names of children on the butterflies in the memory garden. So sad that there are so many baby angels. But the March of Dimes and it’s thousands of volunteers and donors are working hard to change the future.
Why else do I walk? For my healthy babies and grandbabies. And I am so touched they come out too this day to support and remember those less fortunate to them.
If anyone else attended a March for Babies, I would love to hear Why You Walk!
March of Dimes fights for the health of all moms and babies. We're advocating for policies to protect them. We're working to radically improve the health care they receive. We're pioneering research to find solutions. We're empowering families with the knowledge and tools to have healthier pregnancies. By uniting communities, we're building a brighter future for us all.
