When a baby needs to stay in a neonatal or newborn intensive care unit (also called NICU) for about 2 weeks or less, it is called a shorter NICU stay. Families of a baby in the NICU for a shorter stay may need support when their baby is in the NICU and when they take their baby home. This information is designed to help you navigate through this time with your baby.
